This retrospective of Layered Time, Layered Paint at the Municipal Picture Gallery of the Kiscelli Museum in Budapest, Hungary, covered from George Peck’s monochromatic paintings of the 1970s through work as recent as 2002. The exhibition represented an extensive collection of works, and included a massive scale centerpiece, “Cell’s Life”, measuring 32′ x 47′

 

This huge fragment of a bombed church (above) is part of the interior space of the museum.
