"Debate Box", 2006/2016 Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn, NY

George Peck’s video Debate Box is a reflection on the 2004 brutal presidential debates between George Bush and John Kerry. When creating the piece, Peck envisioned two boxers who, with each cheap shot, would congratulate themselves for each broken rule. Today in 2016 this behavior has escalated from an abhorred match to a three-ring circus. Did we allow the floodgates to be opened ten years ago?

"Debate Box" 2006/2016
Was screened as a part of Light Year: The Body Prevails, (May 5th 2016); The Little Synagogue Gallery, (2009), Eger, Hungary.

The 2006 video installation was a comment on the vicious fight between two presidential candidates, George Bush and John Kerry, in 2004.
